John J. CoughlinPartner John Coughlin joined Munley, Meade, Nielsen & Ré in July 2006 and was named a partner in the firm of Ré, Nielsen, Huber and Coughlin, LLP in January 2009. Mr. Coughlin has primarily worked in the fields of zoning and land use, and has significant experience in obtaining municipal approvals and permits in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
He has appeared before numerous Town and Village municipal boards on Long Island. In addition, he has represented telecommunications carriers and tower builders in litigation brought before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York. Mr. Coughlin is a member of both the New York State Bar Association and New York State Wireless Association.
Mr. Coughlin received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, in 1999. He received his J.D. from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 2002. He is admitted to practice in both the Eastern and Northern Districts of New York.
